Update on my cat: Goku is still eating & drinking with gusto, able to use the bathroom, & not showing signs of pain (just frustration with being unable to move like he used to), so it didn't felt right saying goodbye despite his advanced age. He isn't giving up, so it felt wrong to give up on him.

Today has been one of the hardest days of my life. Earlier today, my 20+yo cat had an event that left him unable to walk. We're currently doing palliative care for him until we're ready to say goodbye. We're hoping one of the local vets will cover costs for euthanasia, but right now, we're a mess.
