I read an article about a family with a trans daughter who opened a bookstore - the only one in their small town. Now they are leaving because of a new bathroom law and the town is at risk of losing their bookstore.

I’ve been thinking about this as well. If I was a florist, I would ask if the recipient had pets. If they aren’t sure, I’d omit lilies and other flowers not safe for pets.

I wonder how many florists are unaware of this.

Florists, why not market a few bouquets as pet-safe? I love receiving flowers, but it takes away from the experience when I have to worry about those I know are an issue for my cat (eg, lilies) and then wonder what I don’t know about the rest of them.
