I didn't even realize I wrote horror until someone pointed out that #CthulhuMythos pulp and horror comedies & #urbanfantasy with vampires were still horror adjacent. #horrorwriting #horrorwritingcommunity #books

Unsolicited writing advice, no. #322: Don’t be afraid of failure. Every artist you’ve ever heard of has tried and failed countless times. Failures show you’re trying new things, taking risks, learning. Failure is a necessary step on the road to success.

On a systemic level, America loves punishing people for struggling or suffering. It's a terrible thing.
People vehemently believe that there are safety nets in place if you become disabled. That no matter what, you have all your needs met. If you believe this, you’re in for a rude awakening if you ever become disabled.

I'm floundering from one to the other >///< and while my brain says it's as easy as "just sit down and work on *project A!" somehow it's just so hard to actually do.... 😅😭

Couldn't help but share the doll I made of the main character from by debut novella - Teketeke ☺️ I had so much fun making her, with her magnetic body and glow-in-the-dark eyes 😈
My reward when I finish writing a book is to make a doll of one the the MCs 🥰
What do you do as a reward after writing? 🙂
