The metalfab laser welder needs argon for cutting and welding steel, and 80cu ft seemed like a good starting size. I estimate a good 5-7 hrs of welding/cutting time for a full tank.

OK I got the main parts cleaned down to metal. That cooked thru a half dozen batteries on my drill but they're done. Next I'll figure out how to clean and polish up the clamps, and pick a nice fresh hard coat enamel to refinish it. Or maybe... Cure it like a skillet? Dunno 🤔

OK I got my hands on a fully functioning Craftsman 5180 vise!
Picked up off Craigslist for only $60!
I said to the seller, "they don't make em like they used to!"
He goes, "yea American made!"
And then I flip it over...
