Congratulations!!!!

True story: one of the things that made me certain I was making the right choice about leaving academia was being forced to give a student a C- *after he screamed in my face while obscenely drunk in class*. In exchange for him no longer being allowed in class, I had to give him a passing grade.

It's so upsetting just how much these profiles minimize his behavior, like he was maybe just crossing a blurry line and not, you know, forcing women to watch him masturbate.

Anyway! Back to work on my horror-comedy short story told from the perspective of a cat, because it has to get done for workshop by next week. It's an ode to the oeuvre of Rita Mae Brown, including Slumber Party Massacre, Rubyfruit Jungle, and the Sneaky Pie Brown series. It's silly and I love it.

Less confused, but also very disappointed.
