“Don’t feed the trolls” also extends to bad opinion pieces in papers of record.
They run them bc people react to them the most.
If we stop linking to bad columns and instead post thinkers we find valuable (& generate convo around it), incentives change.

This is off topic, but I've just been surfing around on here and I'm noticing a lot more MAGAs coming on and people seem to be engaging them. Could be new people and they don't know we are trying to create here. Time to keep reminding them not to engage, block, report, etc...

Just my 2 cents. But my goal is to ignore the trolls. Give them zero attention. Block them if they annoy me.
I think the worst thing we can do on this site is re-create the ad hominem/ personal attacks that occur across comments on Twitter/insta/tiktok/ etc
