when you use “douter” unreflexively - without the “se” or whatever - then it means to doubt. reflexively it’s literally i doubt myself, like i think it is this thing but i’m not entirely positive

i went to Duke’s “TIP” program one summer but of course failed to register for a course so wound up with what was left - French - which i still can’t really speak so uh who’s laughing now
