As a former academic, I always love the idea that the Democrats and politics are being pushed toward "Marxism and the extreme left" by a group of workers who are so exploited and live so precariously they're taught how to get on food assistance and are terrified to give low grades.
i am once again asking who the "leftist extremists in the faculty lounge" shaping democratic party priorities are, and what policies it is that they are instituting

A tricky thing about modern society is that no one has any idea when they don’t die.
Like, the number of lives saved by controlling air pollution in America is probably over 200,000 per year, but the number of people who think their life was saved by controlling air pollution is zero.

I keep trying to explain this, but the authoritarians are playing a different game. Liberals are still stuck in what was “normal” as if it hasn’t shifted completely.
This is what they take advantage. People’s inability to even imagine what they’re capable of while they hold on to the ashes.
