Lately, there are three main things I think about when I feel tempted to engage with trolls:
1. “if you’re easy to offend, you’re easy to manipulate.”
2. I pretend the comment was made years ago and I just noticed it.
3. Imagine them insanely bothered that I ignored them, like the story here 👇

Years ago, my wife and I were at a renaissance faire and a vendor started heckling us as we were walking by. Somehow, my wife hadn't noticed, so I just redirected and ignored him. He started yelling louder and eventually he got so upset that he was screaming, “I KNOW YOU CAN HEAR ME ASSHOLE”
