Every time the right said they were for 'limited government' it was a complete lie. The actual principled libertarians are found only in the CATO institute and offices of Reason magazine. No influence whatsoever.
I know I'm out of touch because I loved Kendrik Lamar's first couple albums but listening to some of his recent songs I don't get the appeal. Which is fine, being 'in touch' is overrated.

When discussing whether Elon Musk is a nazi (he is at least a fascist), remember he promoted an interview which said CHURCHILL was responsible for WWII-a take straight out of Goebbels' mouth. Then he had to visit Auschwitz because he agreed that 'Jews hate white people.'

I actually don't think the 'x industry relies on cheap undocumented migrant labor!' is the slam dunk its proponents think it is. Reminds me of the arguments against raising the minimum wage more than anything. Maybe your business model *shouldn't* be based on exploiting desperate migrants?

Reading a bio and it is really striking how isolated Churchill was throughout the the 30s. He was often the only 1 sounding the alarm about Germany when the entire UK establishment wanted friendship. Not a perfect comparison but reminds me of Ron Paul or Bernie Sanders when they were in the House.

I keep seeing statements from Trump about stopping the Tiktok ban from going into effect with the 90 day pause. But since the law is ALREADY going into effect isn't that beyond his power?

It’s funny to compare the flight from Twitter to BlueSky with that from TikTok to Xiaohongshu. Americans jumping to the latter are finding the Chinese app more restrictive than they’d hoped, although this is of course ‘based’ and ‘amazing’ in the eyes of some (though not based enough for others!)
