He/Him #GodotEngine GameDev, Boardgame Designer, & Writer.
This probably won't last long but I got first place in the Die for the Lich daily run.

(I will likely achieve nothing else today so let me have this.)

This made me think of the next level for your mean dice: carving them out of cheese.

I like to give people alternatives to using Amazon for sending me gifts but apparently the evil empire has now gotten wise to me and presumably others doing this and fucking REDACTED website links like it's a government report on alien life.

Hope this is part of a new unhinged ranting series of videos.

The Archduke looks oddly familiar. Damn his mastery of disguise!

I've only done it the once as I said in stream chat and the "costume" was mainly my business cards but here I am (facepainted giant at the back) as Death, representing Mr D's Interplanar Removalists ("Any soul, any time, anywhere!")

I got Pozzo as a weird "artefact" game and my group find it confusing but there is great joy in having someone thrown down the well and hearing their "screams of gratitude" as the storybook puts it.

Here is my friend Al accepting his fate.

Not sure what I'm going to spend 1 HT on but I'll have a think.

Wrote to my MP about Wes Streeting's appaling comments about trans people on M*msnet 2 weeks ago and this is the response. I don't know how one can write so much and say so little.

More progress on golf-related #Godot project. This is 2D to avoid learning 3D but I'm now having to resist scope creep.

It was never supposed to be 3D, only to render one shot at a time (like the start of the video). The fact I *can* pan the camera around in real time is tempting me to do more.

More progress of golf-based 8-bit styled #Godot project. Now rending trees (or other vertical features) along with terrain polygons plus applying appropriate textures to terrains.

It may not look like much but this has taken a lot of work and I'm stupidly pleased with myself.

My current #Godot project has golf and I'm trying to recreate the sort of view seen in 8-bit games like Leaderboard. Here's a demo showing how data is pulled from a top-down map layout (right of screen, won't be in game) to create the false perspective rendered on the left of the screen.

As far as cakes go, I prefer this one.

My current Godot polygon conversion code is also somewhat reading like a desperate plea to parrot-nappers.

Seriously, you expected me to reach retirement age when I finally beat this with 500 save states to get my credit? Unthinkable cruelty.

And it came with a free map of Ireland as a bonus.

Hello one point perspective my old friend, I've come to fuck you up again.

Internet becoming unusable for the average person. This is from Itch.io blocking me from viewing a creator page. Nothing smutty, just age warnings on horror stuff so Itch has blocked the UK.

I can still access it via VPN. The OSA is toothless like that, *if* you're savvy enough to use a VPN.

Damn man leave some for the rest of our childhoods.

Improved version of the rifle scope scene in my Godot project. This one makes a lot more sense with the 8-bit style than the previous shader-based zoom. Background graphics from Operation Wolf C64 as a placeholder.

Some weeks ago @pacbilly.bsky.social challenged me to prove that I would laminate my subscription to his channel.

The gears of time grind slowly, but they grind inexorably toward me making a fool of myself.

Trying to renew interest in my Godot project by working on the shooty part. Got a shader-based rifle scope effect working which would no doubt be impossible on an actual 8-bit machine but doing my best to preserve the pixel art aesthetic. Screengrab from Operation Wolf C64 as a placeholder to test.

The lumbar spine. It's just so fucking funny.

Good news for me. Good news.

Ah shit the void's back, lads.
