I had a couple years and quit because of teen angst and a teacher I didn't like. She decided we all needed Spanish names and I refused to be called Nacho.

and mostly because someone thought it was a fantastic idea to move all of my previously organized stuff to somewhere else and I have NFC where the part that needs changing lives or where to even try and tell someone to find it.

all my stuff is in a spot too. Won't guarantee I remember where I decided that spot is, but its absolutely in one.

apparently I never took pics of the grilles but these were the speakers. There was a cross brace between the woofer and midrange but basically just a rectangle out of 1x1 pine with some cheap grey cloth stapled to it.

I made a set of speaker grills held with magnets. Simple rectangle frame with cloth over it and cheap 8mm magnets set in at the corners. Worked great. Speakers still sounded bad but they looked better.

I looked closer at the vid, looks like the brass intentionally has a space between teeth. Dunno on the damage tho, on used things its always a bit of mystery what the previous owners did.

not into "improvements" that break functionality, but this was just some network glitch that made the tv not want to connect to things.
