Derby is a major opportunity for Louisville's mayor to showcase the city to VIPs who could bring lucrative business here.

Hosting them cost $100k+ last year.

This year, the city has failed to respond to Courier Journal records requests to see who's invited.

I asked the Mayor's Office about the Camp Taylor pool opening delay at 12:09 p.m.

A few hours later, the administration announced the delay in the X post below. I have not received a direct response.

LMPD is on track to be, perhaps, the most-studied police department in the country.
