The children yearn for the heyday of Finnish melodeath!

Rian Johnson I would never have spent energy defending The Last Jedi if I knew you were this stupid

Very happy to see you come around on HCDR! IIRC you bounced off it in the past, no?

I was like 13 years old when that song got huge and I somehow never questioned what I was hearing until at least five years later lmao

It would give an entirely new context to "took a Louisville Slugger to both headlights" as well!

For years I thought she was singing "carved my name into his legacy" to imply that she carved C A R R I E into her ex's junk. Would have made for a better song tbh

Thanks dude, really fucking stoked to rehearse / record this one. As riff-forward as it is, this song might actually have my favorite chorus out of anything we've written so far

Somehow missed your reply, sorry dude! Really glad you enjoyed this tiny MIDI fragment, I'm very excited for how this album is taking shape. FYI, I just posted a thread with some details about the project which will give you an idea of when you can hear the finished product.

We won't be making our demo public; it was recorded solely to give us an idea of how we sound as a unit, and of where we need to improve our performances and compositions. But worry not, because when we have music ready to share, I am going to be So Fucking Annoying about it.

I'd been skeptical that we could get this out the door by Summer, but everyone has been enthusiastic about the material and dedicated to being performance ready by Spring. I had set a vague goal this year to start making music in earnest, and this project has vastly exceeded my baseline expectation.

My stepbrother (keyboards) has written the bulk of the songs, and I'm contributing three myself. We've got a few bombastic/anthemic numbers, an aggressive power/thrash song, a gorgeously dynamic and progressive piece, a dance-y mid-paced track, and what will hopefully be a deliciously OTT ballad.

Yeah this album absolutely has the juice. Weird bit of Eldritch lore: In Your Face was the very first song with predominantly harsh vocals that I ever fully enjoyed. Thank you, MTV2 Headbangers Ball revival

I'm glad someone did! I am underappreciated in my time
