Happened upon this #book of fun kid & #family activities for each season. This book challenges us to spend 1000 hrs outside - that's the avg time kids spend on screens per year! My kids LOVE this book and we've already painted rocks, made scented salt dough ornaments, and we're building a snow fort.

Today I was reminded of how important it is to take time to relax, unwind, and laugh with those we love.
Sure, it's winter, but I am SO excited about planning my #garden. Some wins last year included growing popcorn and processing a lot of pumpkins which has allowed us to make amazing pumpkin pancakes on cold winter mornings 🥰 In Spring, I'm planning to add herbs for tea, and a flower garden for bees.

My uncle died this year & it was a devastating loss for our family. Not because of anything he accomplished, but because of who he was: He was present, an active listener, funny, & cared for his family.
