riker from TNG would fuck with the dolls; i don't think there can be any serious doubt about that, but how precisely would be interesting to explore

i have a very low opinion of anyone with any real power, money, or authority in this world, and think something should be done about it

The wider context is that Merz has 100s of billions to spend to plug holes, and *still* has a fiscal problem.

The previous oh-so-awful 🚦 government had none of this, and was supposed to govern Germany smoothly.

really feel like they're overthinking things here. if you want to make a bond film just start making one no one gives a fuck that he died in the last one c'mon
James Bond’s death in No Time to Die is causing a nightmare for the next film. Writers are stuck because Bond “was blown to pieces.”

Anthony Horowitz, author of three 007 novels, says:

“You can't have him wake up in shower and saying it was all a dream."

yes I'm spamming you with yet another pic but one of the fun things about going to an opera i missed out on before transitioning was that as a woman you get to dress up and in a way be part of the performance, and it's all the more so the grander the opera house is

by default men should have to live in large camps together where they can argue and play cards or whatever. you can live in a house with a woman or women if they want you around but if they don't, it's back to the camp w/you

we're rapidly headed to a weird semiology where you're going to have to regard anyone going on about teens and phones as transphobic until proven otherwise
When Rosie Duffield is in on it I think we can safely say the anti-phone campaign in Brianna's name is actively at odds with tackling transphobia

i think this is accurate but i also think that it can be put more concretely in the sense that addressing climate change goes against, rather than directly profits, the mode of externalizing losses that has been so key to the development of capitalism through the centuries
The problem from their point of view is that rapid decarbonization requires public, collective decisions about the organization of production, in a way that threaten capital-owners' authority over both the production process and the political system.

colonialism as well as deregulation can be viewed through this lens. relative profits can be taken if losses can be made to be borne by people who arent "involved", who can be considered irrelevant. and the ideology developed to sustain this is cruelty is often a reactionary one

inculcating cruelty to demonstrate that ever more people can be made to bear the burden of maintaining capital's right to trample, without which it would cease to govern as itself

i'm here for the late, decaying republic sending out checks to pacify the Volk phase, but the last time they did this i had to basically sit down for tea with someone at my bank in berlin to get it deposited
lmfao he knows he's unpopular so he's trying to hit the affordability button by sending out checks with his name on it again

one way this city retains its classical reputation: the subway buskers are actually pretty good, and ppl will actually applaud them (really not the case in berlin)
