I joined millions of Americans today in attending a protest. I wasn't paid, and neither were any of the roughly 5,000 people in Princeton with me. It was peaceful, occasionally joyful, and within our rights as Americans.

My favorite pics from today's Hands Off rally in Princeton, NJ. Democracy affords us the right to protest when we believe the government is wrong. Exercise that right while we still have it.

Today, I found a quilted heart hanging from a tree in Mercer County Park. What a lovely project. Finding my heart was a lift to my day. Thanks to the quilters who make and gift these hearts. Sometimes, we all need evidence of the kindness of strangers.
