27 year old fella, artist, animator, developer, musician, blah blah blah also I'm making a game called KART (visit my @ in your web browser.)
That definitely feels a lot like SS13, I really like the ambient radio chatter. I actually had a SS13-based spinoff sort of game I was working on too! It had more of an arcade-y feel, but had a story. Here's some old artwork from it.

Modders can also now apply "tags" to racers. This is shown in the bottom left. Track creators can use these tags to selectively apply effects to racers. For instance, the big skeleton can only be killed if you have killed 10 skeletons.

Used my recent shader work to add some skeletons from Vampire Survivors @vampiresurvivors.bsky.social for fun. If you hit them, they'll go flying and blow up. The skeletons are made by using mod tools to detect the player's presence and status. MAXIMUM FLEXIBILITY!!!

Made a Unity URP shader that always orients toward the camera, and also locates the correct sprite in a sprite sheet to show. More than that, it takes into account the object's upward direction so the illusion won't break when viewed from above or below. #GameDev

For my game, every character is intended to be based on a different aesthetic / art style. This Sanrio-inspired character will probably be the shortest. Edge of seat, barely reaches the handlebars...

Also, added a bike!

Hydroplaning & underwater ambiance! Gotta add a few more effects I think, but I'm liking how it looks so far

Wow, this is looking awesome! Crazy how things work, I had an idea for a game like yours for a game jam! I was only an artist back then, and my team couldn't figure out how to do it effectively so it inspired me to learn to program on my own. I had to dig it up but it was this:

Been developing a track designer for my kart game! A very intuitive method I think, you create the track by using actual kart controls, then you can export model & path data to modelling software... just makin' so many tools...

Heyo! First post here, I'm a indie game dev making my first game called KART. It's multiplayer, and it's got mod support for custom racers, karts, tracks, and more. Here's how it look right now:
