INCREDIBLE. An all-time great World Series featuring an incredible number of Hall of Fame-caliber players who did Hall of Fame-caliber things…. And where supporting players still managed to overshadow them in many ways. Truly spectacular.

I'm starting to think he can just do this whenever he wants and the 60ish percent of the time where he makes outs he's doing it on purpose so we keep assuming he's human

Jon Stewart mocks Democrats' CHOOSE YOUR FIGHTER meme, saying "the Democrats could have filibustered to maybe extract *anything*, but ... they just fucking didn't. If that was the strategy all along, just let people know. Don't make a whole theatrical production of choosing fighters."

My issue with AI is 1) for me, it malfunctions more often than any new technology of my lifetime and 2) the biggest proponents *clearly* hold it as a religious belief (This is the Second Coming, this will usher in a utopia, the unprepared will be Left Behind, so give us all the money)

"AI" is not some new communication tech, it is an attempt to replace/reduce high level creative and intellectual labor either because the people in charge are mindlessly jumping on a trend or attempting to discipline labor or both. It isnt some inevitable new advancement, it is inherently anti-human

I think it's interesting that with the growth and increasing dominance of the business corporation no mainstream literature ever emerged saying that they "artificially" repress the demand for loanable funds and reduce business investment by replacing "markets" with capital budgets
