I teach children's literature & I have to point out to students that LGBTQ kids' books didn't exist when I was a kid. It's awful that it's under attack now & we need to push back against that, but it's fucking magical that these books exist at all.

Someone else I forgot about, for the record, commented a novella refuting said horseshit in a calm and logical way. She didn’t listen.

There is a part of me that does want to get into it. She’s one of those people acting like everyone not taking her horseshit seriously is ignorant, a sheep, & that she is enlightened or something for believing crap she found on YouTube. It’s infuriating. I also… should protect my own peace, right?
