Tip Time! I’m seeing a lot of long query letters. I suggest trimming your QL down to 300-350 words. I know, I know, it’s hard, but tighter query letters can give you bonus points when pitching agents. #RevPit #RevPitWaiting #RevPitTeaser

Sometimes I read a really fantastic, skilled, voice-y debut & I wonder if it’s the author’s first ever attempt to write a book or if they have like, six failed attempts to get published under their belt.
I think it would be very cool (& motivating for aspiring authors) if author bios stated how many years/books those authors wrote before they got to publish their debut.
