Programming, LARP, TTRPG, video games, my cat. Any pronouns.
Made an "Operation Name" generator from my own list of operation name parts. Intended to be moderately silly, inspired by Deep Rock Galactic's mission names and the one time my Delta Green GM gave us "Operation Eternal Stubble"

What do nearly all of these accounts have in common? They are all time stamped as having been made in the last 2-3 hours the night before #nokings.

They want to turn this place into the cesspool that is X. Block em, don't engage, give them no air in your room and no space in your heart.
Don't engage. Just block. They want to push their rage bait on here. Don't give them the satisfaction.

This is an insane thing for a public official to say and a clear indication that the Trump administration is aiming to construct a one-party state.

We're not at war with Venezuela, these boats are many hundreds of lines from our waters, much less our shores, there is no threat, this is just murder.

I really do think everyone from the SecDef to the guy who pushed the button should be tried for murder on this.
Don’t believe anyone who tells you that intelligence shows anything “without a doubt,” but even if the intelligence was water-tight, this strike was still murder. No law permits the deliberate, premeditated killing of civilians.

Great Khan Pritzker Gets It
Pritzker: "Any rational person who has spent even the most minimal amount of time studying human history has to ask themselves one important question: once they get the citizens of this nation comfortable with the current atrocities committed under the color of law, what comes next?"

Extremely difficult to be the appropriate level of quiet about a project I'm proud of, that I'm hoping to open-source, but haven't gotten approval for yet.

Expected result when business leaders demand that those they control adopt a technology to hop on with the latest buzzword bandwagon, instead of first determining whether the technology addresses the business's needs and is suitable for the task. LLMs have their uses, but they're not magic.
You know, MIT, the place at the front of cutting edge tech research, that has a whole dedicated AI department?

Fascinating video on Steam trends, especially these statistics- of all the games released in Steam in 2024, just 2.5% had the "LBGTQ+" tag and 7% had the "female protagonist" tag. This is supposedly the political trend that's overwhelming and destroying gaming.

The 12th annual international Gender Census 2025 is now open until at least 30th August 2025!

It's for anyone whose gender (or lack thereof) isn't described by the M/F binary. It's short and easy, and results are useful in academia, business and self-advocacy.

Anyone know why someone who's a left-leaning liberal would have expected anything other than sudden spike in authoritarianism, state violence, and curtailing of rights from a Trump presidency? Were there a bunch of pundits going "everything's going to be fine"? And do you have links?
