Nor much personal 3d time RN as works busy and that saps the motivation for personal 3d work, but I did finally manage to finish these 2 treemen for blood bowl, so that's something.

super wip but its always nice to get some basic materials on and have it start feeling real. Also a quick tip for anyone getting into texturing is be insane about your roughness maps. Even a small amount of subtle variation can really stop surfaces feeling fake

Finally got some good pics of my sisters of silence. That battle sister kit is lovely, so these were a fun project. Tons of fun on the table too.

mmm a cripsy delcious bake. Not quite a greggs christmas bake, but definetly better than a cold steak bake. Turns out triangulating does actually do a world of a difference before baking.

Noodling away im realizing the 2 most important things for subD is:
- you dont need perfect topo or wires, just stuff that bakes well
- actually though, chasing perfect subD topo is fun.
Realizing whats fun and whats *needed* helps actually get stuff done.

I really enjoyed 19 claws and a blackbird so thought this would be about the same level of spooky.
Im normally good with horror books but this is genuinely stomach churning. I feel quite ill but cant put it down.

Back on the personal projects, Nothing fancy today; just the mid poly. Going to try to go nuts on the high poly and texturing tho. Recreating 60 years of wear and tear. (see pic)
Always good to practice with real life objects though: with sci-fi theres always a temptation to take artistic liberties
