Changing our minds and our rules has been baked into Anglicanism since Richard Hooker (i.e., from the time of the Reformations).

And at least in the US, theologians have about 10 years of graduate studies under their belt. That makes you feel like you know too little, though.

I love this. I'm with you.

My cat would've HATED getting cloned. She hated other cats. Now I'm going to be laughing imagining her with a clone. Her name was Taffeta; maybe her clone would be Crinoline?

Maybe it's my age, but I'd just spend money on having custom-made shoes. Ones that don't make anything hurt would be fantastic.

What am I thinking.... If I were rich, I'd pay off maybe half of my student debt.

Wait, no heart with an arrow through it? Did he get that removed because it was too damning?

Because the patriarchy is?

Weird, since he was right when he said he could shoot someone on 5th Avenue and wouldn't lose any supporters.

I guess now he's beyond worrying about voters, though. 'Cause there was plenty of damning footage that GOP voters looked at and said, "Yup, that's our guy!"

You can't tell, but I forgot my hood. I was low-key hoping someone would notice so I could tell them my PhD was revoked & see if they could guess a good reason why.

The Mag/Nunc is also quite good. :)

I'm not comfortable with having flags in the church, but this service is primarily pastoral rather than nationalistic—at least in intent, and it's been going that direction over the years I've been in choir.

That's an apt comparison! It really is maddening.

He might have known it was satire but also knew that putting it out there would lodge one more anti-Democrat sentiment in the MAGAsphere.

That "WOW" though - it's hard to tell if he's trying to say this would be a bad thing, or if he's gonna steal the idea.

100%. I know an East-Coast liberal who complained about West-Coast liberals, & I was like, He should see Fresh-Coast liberals! (Mostly we're congregated in Detroit & Chicago, & I don't know Chicago, but Detroit liberals are further left than San Francisco's, e.g. Oops I shouldn't say that out loud.)

I wish I could apologize on behalf of my coreligionists, but I know most of them aren’t sorry. Some of us are working on that. Meanwhile, everyone deserves to be safe & to be loved, so stay away from religion that doesn’t affirm you!
