With El Salvador agreeing to take and imprison non-Salvadoran deportees in return for $$$, there's nothing to stop Trump from deporting US citizens he dislikes.
The core problem we have is that MAGA has never accepted the basic premises of our justice system. One of them is that the status of a person can't be ascertained until due process has been executed. Every time the Administration calls an summarily deported person a terrorist, it's a legal nonsense.
Trump may justify deportations by claiming the people involved are violent gang members (although no court has had that chance to test that assertion) but the problem is that once established, the power Trump is claiming can be used against other people too. joycevance.substack.com/p/deportatio...

Canada out negotiated Trump, likely in coordination with Mexico. Canada will now place 10,000 personnel (which they were already doing) at the border. They reinforced the border to protect from the US against a potential invasion and will now curb US drug and weapons traffickers. The US got nothing.
