Occasionally art is an uncanny predictor of the future. Great piece from @thewrap.com on the prophetic , extraordinary Emmy-winning Hulu series #TheHandmaidsTale
#TheHandmaidsTale wasn’t meant to be prophetic — but it was. Hulu’s Emmy-winning drama, launched in #Trump’s first year, became a chilling reflection of America’s political and cultural shift, all rooted in Margaret Atwood’s rule: never make anything up.

@revmagdalen.bsky.social yes, of course. But the obsession with Hillary Clinton’s emails especially by @NYTimes is emblematic to me about the challenge.
Except that her emails never endangered anyone. In fact it turned out that the emails in question were her trying to protect State assets from CIA drone strikes. So kind of the opposite of aides deciding they felt lucky and it wouldn't matter if sometimes the POTUS was unavailable to respond.

@sharonwaxman.bsky.social getting that “debut” of this quality is a rare joy if you are in the entertainment media biz these days. Kristen Stewart is a thinker, and that is not always rewarded on the way up. Hope there is a bidding war on this one.
There’s something very special about interviewing a director as their first film greets the world. My conversation w Kristen Stewart today was fire; she took a risk and it showed. The film is honest and so was convo. Video tomorrow. Here’s some pix
