Pay attention : This is social worker and constituent Emily Feiner being removed from NY17 Rep Mike Lawler town hall in Somers. I was struck immediately by revulsion, but also hope. There is a Norman Rockwell quality to this image and its representation of America in current state.

A newspaper clip from my Canadian Mother-In-Law. The family I married into are a classic, hard-working immigrant story. All entrepreneurs, kind, well-traveled and not “radicals”. America was a big brother. Friends of all ages no longer feel welcome in the US & assume it’s now broken. Makes me ill.

Watching Trump Pershing Square Hedge Fund Chief ( and Trump Super Fan ) Bill Ackman meltdown in real time is something else . In December he called Trump the “most pro growth President in our history “. No doubt the tax cuts looked awesome . He clearly did not do his homework #TrumpTariffs

Here is the #Meta internal email on why it was ending #DEI. Like the end of serious content moderation, it is reflection of culture & values. Which appear to have done a 180 from 4 yrs ago. Other companies operate in the same legal context ( Apple, Costco,PepsiCo etc) but did not budge.

Reply to Zuck @threads yesterday. The truth of social media; users are the content : the platform is the pipe. Insulting users not ideal strategy. Not sure strategy (beyond economic) ever drove this 180. Also asked him about data behind alleged geographic “bias” in factchecking. Hint: Nope.
