I'm having this strange moment where I'm looking at list of science fiction books that made the genre what it is today, where I've never heard of many of the books in spite of having read literally hundreds of sci-fi books over the decades.

I'm having this strange moment where I'm looking at list of science fiction books that made the genre what it is today, where I've never heard of many of the books in spite of having read literally hundreds of sci-fi books over the decades.
This may be a spoiler for my next novel, but they've finally reached the one world where they may have a chance to kick their heals up and relax a moment before resetting. One place they will visit it the old city dating back 100s of years.
In the warmer season, Ari and Cy would spend some time on their own family estate, enjoying each other's company.
For abroad travel, I think they'd enjoy the artsy district of Hepici! The former Tyrant's Palace is now open to the public, & there's lots of places to visit

My characters know nothing about a planet whose natives call Earth and therefore don't speak any language we would recognise.
Tell me more about your #AwesomeCharacters
Does your character speak English? Or another real language?
Do they speak a fictional language transcribed as another for the sake of the reader?
Are language barriers ever a problem in the story?

My characters know nothing about a planet whose natives call Earth and therefore don't speak any language we would recognise.
I do have to wonder how this latest move by Amazon to include AI in their product is going to impact the decision writers make to make their books available on the platform.

Argh! I dumped my lunch! Not only have i lost the yummy meal I was going to eat but joe I have to go out and but something to replace it.

Sigh. I let 3 podcasts go today after determining none of them hit the vibe I'm searching for. I guess its back to playing more tunes during my daily commute while I continue my search for more shows to keep.

It looks like our rear elevator is down for the count. A key component failed, and being such an old unit it will take some time to source a replacement.

Niv wasn't very into exercise until the first time June had a manic period and put him in the infirmary. After that she started training him on how to hold her off long enough for her to recover her senses. Now they spar regularly, and she even let's him win sometimes.

The fun of working on a problem that requires more than one trade. Elevator not working. El tech finds there is no power. Get an electrician in to check power and discover a series of fuses blown. Once replace he will not turn the elevator back on in case that blows the circuits again.

NIvpul Exavent is called Niv by those closest to him. His arch nemesis calls him Red. Periodically he'll be referred to by his rank of Ensign in the League Free-trader fleet.

I struggle with this very question and am thankful for advice like this to get me moving in the best direction.
This is JUST MY OPINION
I see artists say they don't use alt text because they can't begin to describe the image
IMO *some* indication of the image is better than nothing
"this is an oil painting of a weird hairy monster sitting under a tree"
helps a user who relies on alt text to feel included

For Niv this is a work in progress. Before I threw him in the deep end he lived a rather sheltered life where he didn't need to test his limits in many varied ways.

Do they understand their flaws and work around them? Push through to their detriment? Completely overestimate themselves?

For Niv this is a work in progress. Before I threw him in the deep end he lived a rather sheltered life where he didn't need to test his limits in many varied ways.
Also, my daughter has told me I need to write the scene where Niv gets his first taste of snow, and then June hits him with a snowball.

I should warn all of you now that I'm looking at creating more marketing sided posts leading up to Christmas and probably into the new year as new ereaders under the tree means new ereader in need of stories to read.

Okay. I spent the day mulling over the whole question of marketing by published books more. Tomorrow I change gears and start discovering how the next scene in book 5 wants to develop.
