It never ceases to amaze me how "proud" they are of what they are doing. Bragging about it all over the TV.
Right up until someone wants to actually see what they are up to. Then you get a door slammed in your face, redactions that cover entire pages, and you get called a "Domestic Terrorist".

The DOJ arrested Americans for smuggling H200 chips because they “determine military AI superiority”… and then, on the same day, legalized H200 exports to China for a 25% cut.

This is self-inflicted strategic disarmament for cash.

This isn’t a failure of enforcement so much as a reminder that controls shape behavior — they don’t freeze it.

The question was never whether export controls would be obeyed.
It was whether they would decisively deny capability.

The China Military Power Report suggests they haven’t.

If I'm reading this correctly, SCOTUS Kavanaugh walks back his, "[stops are] typically brief,” asserting that 'individuals who are citizens or legally present “promptly go free” after confirming their status' in a new footnote to the IL ruling today.

Makes it clear they can't make racist stops.
This is very good news. Also, apparently Kavanaugh wants to clarify (or retract?) his opinion in Noem v. Perdomo. See footnote 4 of his concurrence.

Superb post. 10/10

Lots of deleted databases and scientific data listed here.

Unfortunately, we only get to archive publicly posted data. It's the classified backend purge that really is insidious - illegally terminating independent heads, illegally installing their own, and purge at will.
2025: Web pages vanished. Links broke. Public data disappeared. But the Internet Archive kept the receipts.

From investigative reports to video features, these stories show why preserving the web became one of the year’s defining information battles.

After no less than 5 complete corruptions from Homebrew upgrades in macOS over a short 7 years of development, I'll never use it again.

Multiple days of development time lost to machine formats and rebuilds.

I continue to mourne all of the whistleblowers and leakers that have been secretly caught, jailed, or silenced under this 2nd round of Trump.

Since the admins illegally control the nation archives now, all logs and history have been scrubbed.

We'll never know them.

A dear friend from the other side (R) had complained about, "these radical judges" this year.

I immediately shutdown that conversation as I will not give a platform to hate and dangerous rhetoric.

I think more need to refuse to give platforms to bullies, even if they are friends.
