Right lads if we're chucking tradition and doing a Next Day Count what's the scope for also doing a "tally up the votes on a polling district basis and publish that alongside the constituency wide result" count like a normal bloody country in the 21st century

The Scottish Liberal Democrats are sad to announce the passing of Lord Menzies Campbell.

The thoughts of everyone in our party are with his family at this time.

Writing in the Scotsman this evening on why this week's pantomime over the St George’s flag shows that the Prime Minister will continue to struggle until he works out what he believes in. Quick thread: 1/

Jess Brown-Fuller has won action from the Government to speed up compensation for LGBT veterans who lost their jobs and were stripped of their pensions.

Working with Val was always one of the highlights of Council meetings for me.
She was unfailingly kind, a determined champion of culture in our city and a true seeker of consensus - even when many others would have given up.
I’ll miss her, and my thoughts are with Labour colleagues and her family.
