Tonight an unbelievable **34,000 people** gathered for our Denver rally to take on billionaires and win our country back.
This was the largest political gathering in Denver since Obama in 2008.

This is horrible to post, but I may as well post it. We are essentially shutting down research operations in my group, which is focused on treatments for pediatric brain cancer. I’m a well funded investigator, and there’s no choice. Science can’t function without the stability of NIH

It’s so cool to study ancient microbiology, including species that evolved in a pre-oxygen world. These organisms evolved to thrive within and around us, currently. Our research will increase our understanding of how bacterial biological chemistry evolved, and could lead to new therapeutic targets.

CDC employees aren’t even allowed to communicate with WHO employees now? This is the height of stupidity and negligence. We just got out of a pandemic and now they want US scientists to cut off all engagement with WHO?
The CDC has been instructed by the White house to stop engaging with the WHO in person of virtually. This means all the great work the CDC does in responding to international outbreaks is halted. Think #mpox, #marburg, #polio #cholera etc.
