Oh, things are much,much worse than this! However I’m glad that FINALLY people are starting to wake up! Just wait until someone realizes what happened to FEMA. In the words of a friend/old colleague that is holding on to her current FEMA job for dear life: “People WILL die!”.

First day as a “civilian” after a 30 year career with the feds. This feels so surreal, but after the shock wears off, I’m realizing that my handcuffs are also off after all these years. We served the public no matter the administration, until now. Ultimately, it is the public that will suffer.

So, how does importing goods from important trading partners like China ripple through our economy? This illustrates more of the impact. THIS is why I kept saying Trump’s tariffs are gonna be BAD. And we’re not done with highlighting the impact. Not by a long shot….

Today I left the South Building at USDA for the last time in my almost 30 year career. I’m not gonna lie, I didn’t do it with dry eyes. Saying goodbye to so many intelligent, talented and extremely dedicated colleagues is right up there as one of the toughest things I’ve done in my life.
