An ex-pirate with a hellish past searches for a cure to a strange mark left by the crew she betrayed. But her past has a way of catching up and consuming her mind and soul, no matter how far she runs. ⛵

The best advice I learnt when writing my query letter is to take out phrases like 'they find themselves...' in your blurb because it sounds like the plot finds your protagonist instead of the other way around. Give your protagonist agency! 🤗
