JUPITER LOOKS SO PRETTY IN UV AND NEAR-IR LIGHT!!!
The wavelength bounds are widened beyond the visible range to extend just into the ultraviolet and infrared regimes: F343N is blue, F467M is green, FQ889N is red. Humans can't perceive these extended wavelengths. The result is a vivid disk that shows UV-absorbing lofty hazes as orange (over the poles and in three large storms, including the Great Red Spot), and freshly-formed ice as white (compact storm plumes just north of the equator). These filters (and others not shown here) allow astronomers to study differences in cloud thickness, altitude, and chemical makeup.

cosmic collisions, seen by hubble 🌌
A glowing portion of a galaxy is seen at the left of the image, with a bridge of cosmic material including bright blue stars and dark brown dust extending to the right. A pair of small, interacting galaxies shine in this new NASA Hubble Space Telescope image. The larger of the two galaxies is named NGC 5410. It spans 80,000 light-years across and has a bright white bar of stars at its center. It is also a spiral galaxy with a medium-sized nucleus and spread-out arms. NGC 5410 contains many young, blue star clusters, especially along its arms. The smaller of the two galaxies is called UGC 8932 or PGC 49896 and has a diameter of 60,000 light-years. It has a bright blue bar of stars at its core, indicating that it contains younger stars. Its shape is irregular, likely due to distortions from NGC 5410’s gravitational pull. A galaxy laced through with dark brown dust is viewed edge-on, shining against black space dotted with more distant galaxies. The central galaxy has a hazy bridge of faint stars extending down through the bottom of the image. Arp 300 consists of two interacting galaxies, UGC 05028 (the smaller face-on spiral galaxy) and UGC 05029 (the larger face-on spiral). Likely due to its gravitational dance with its larger partner, UGC 05028 has an asymmetric, irregular structure, which is not as visible from ground-based telescopes but is quite distinct here. The bright knot visible to the southeast of the center of UGC 05028 may be the remnant of another small galaxy that is in the process of merging with that galaxy. UGC 05029 has a pronounced spiral structure and multiple hot, blue giant stars visible on the side facing UGC 05028. Another edge-on spiral galaxy is visible in this image below UGC 05029 but is too faint to be resolved into star-forming regions, while the five objects strung out above it are probably a group of distant background galaxies.

2/3 Denoising support is a game-changer: no longer do you need to render for hours and hours to get rid of pesky noise. Check out the examples below!

And completely independent of that, I've also improved rendering speeds so you might see gains of up to 3x compared to the version on CRAN!
