So… I did a thing 😊
I made a feed to easily find posts asking for book recs 😁
It'll find lots of word combos to hopefully ensure no post gets left behind, but adding 📚❔ or 📚❓ ensures addition.
So 📚💙 #Authors #WritingCommunity regularly check that feed & give your (self) recs 🥰 or go & ask for recs 💜

Share if you want to make your hurts visible 💜🦋💉💊
Having a chronic illness means a ceaseless cycle of mourning your past self with accepting your current self. Having an invisible chronic illness makes this cycle FEEL like a lone burden. We must make our invisible hurts known to feel less alone.

Here I am enjoying the first 'real' snow of the season next to my baby American Beauty Berry Bush wearing my Lofi girl plaid. 🎧❄️🫐

I love subbing in the school cafeterias. I smile at all the kids no matter how bad their day is or mine. Sometimes it's the only warm meal they'll get all day.
Who here agrees?

I have so much art that I never share for this reason.
Bringing it to 🦋 by request:

People hate their own art because it looks like they made it. They think if they get better, it will stop looking like they made it. A better person made it. But there's no level of skill beyond which you stop being you. You hate the most valuable thing about your art.

Day 1 of my 12 day Advent 🧩🗓️ by Galison and it's the best bang for my buck I've ever gotten in an Advent calendar!

Yes except it's missing The Parable of the Sower that literally takes place in 2024 😱 📚💙
Looks like it’s time to start dusting off this ol’ guy again.

How is it with a history of encephalitis and seizures as well as ongoing Lupus SLE and a recent visit to the ER for severe migraine, that I cannot get a neurological appointment until March? Reason #600 why I'm fed up and hopeless.

It's been a minute since I've ridden the vampire wave. I'm feeling that familiar throb in my veins... 🧛‍♀️📚💙
Vampires were a HUGE trend in horror this year. Any favorites for you? I loved The Madness and The Gathering—a bunch of these are still on my TBR 🩸🖤

This is comforting. I've been choosing my books based on what I'm drawn to atm and dropping any books that don't speak to me in the first 5%. This has been working wonders for my book appetite 😋
You're not "late to the party" when you enjoy an old book for the first time. Books don't have an RSVP deadline. The party started long ago, and guests show up when they're meant to.

It's not about celebrating murder. It's not about the absence of societal decency or morality.

It's about loss of faith.

People are losing faith in the rule of law. In its ability to hold the rich and powerful accountable.

Keep gaslighting them at your own peril.

I started Tender is the Flesh by Agustina Bazterrica this evening. I found this signed copy at the new Barnes & Noble in Georgetown. It's sooo good so far 📚💙😱

@thestorygraph.com I highly recommend The Naturalist Society by Carrie Vaughn (2024). 📚💙

For fans of fantasy, historical fiction, and magical realism, with themes of self-discovery, empowerment of women in male-dominated fields, LGBTQ+ and the intersection of science & magic.
