So far, DC has declined to file litigation, especially as the Home Rule Act does permit Trump to take at some control over MPD. But directing MPD to assist DHS with a broader operation is very different from replacing the Commissioner and ordering MPD to violate DC Code. I have to image DC sues now.

That it is rapidly becoming normal for federal law enforcement to be masked and unidentifiable is terrifying. It is, frankly, the scandal here. It has no place in a free republic.

Quite a finding from Judge Sessions:
"Her continued detention potentially chills the speech of the millions and millions of individuals in this country who are not citizens. Any one of them may now avoid exercising their First Amendment rights for fear of being whisked away to a detention center."
