What a perceptive observation. I was a screenwriter for the BBC’s ‘Supervolcano’, about the world-changing eruption of Yellowstone. The hero dies in a noble but futile attempt to get help – or did until the exec producer changed the ending. ‘What sort of drama has the hero die?’ she protested. 🤷🏼‍♂️
After a steady diet of saviour film/telly, (all happy endings, no tragedy), we are now all quietly convinced that every thing just somehow works out in the end. That's why we're still not doing anything that will make an actual difference. That's why it's so easy to numb people with tech 'solutions'

Last night, Israel killed at least 28 Palestinians including 17 women and children.

This is not a peace plan. It is a proposal that weakens Ukraine and divides America from Europe, preparing the way for a larger war in the future. In the meantime, it benefits unnamed Russian and American investors, at the expense of everyone else.
