"I gotta get in shape. See more birds. Too much sitting in meadows has ruined my body. Too much abuse has gone on for too long. From now on, there will be fifty birds every morning, fifty trees of note."
Taxi Driver If Travis Bickle Really Got into Birdwatching
I’m watching birds at all hours now. I can see thirty, fifty birds a week, sometimes even more if I don’t put it all in my journal. All the animals...

This Opus 88 Flora fountain pen has been on most of my stationery wishlists since I began this hobby 3 years ago. On Thursday, I pulled the trigger & Wonder Pens had it in my hands yesterday afternoon along with four new ink samples. The Flora is inked with Sailor Manyo Yamabuki. #fountainpens #NPD

I vexed to find Griffin leave the office door open, and had a design to have carried away the screw or the carpet in revenge to him, but at last I would not, but sent for him and chid him.

What could this be? It's NPD. I wasn't going to add to my TWSBI family, but it felt incomplete without these two: Espresso with bronze trim (medium nib) and Irish Green with onyx trim (broad nib). They arrived on a cold day and will need time to warm up before seeing any ink. #fountainpens #TWSBI

A thing I wish I could teach people is that the vast majority of very rich people are deeply stupid. They did not get where they are because of ingenuity or talent. They got there because of compound interest on hereditary wealth and being tax cheats.

It's been a while since I've been awake this early. Nothing to do but drink my coffee and scribble.

Yesterday's project. There's still more to organize but all inks, converters, cleaning tools, (and most washi) now have a home. My stationery collection has outgrown the shoe box storage system of previous years. #fountainpens #stationery

A fresh notebook and my currently inked pens. More pens will be cleaned and filled later because I do not adhere to limitations on the number of FPs that should be inked and in use at any one time. I will fill ALL THE PENS.

Having left the bird site I am now pondering a departure from Facebook. Pondering but not ready to pull the plug. Invasive advertising & a newsfeed that is more spammy by the day (how many tribute pages does Secretariat need?) are my primary problems. Friends & book & pen news keep me there.

Received mine earlier today.
I got shingles in my 30s. You'd better believe I got the vaccine, as I have no interest in experiencing that level of pain again.
"Shingles is common and highly preventable. In the US, 1 out of 3 people will get the disease in their lifetime, but the vaccine, called Shingrix, is 97% effective at preventing the disease in people ages 50-69 with healthy immune systems"

The pond is inhabited by these aquatic mammals. They're too small to be beavers. Muskrats?

I just broke my own shit-posting rule and deleted two shit-posts. It's a new era of gainful unemployment, so I will try to be happy with that aspect of my life rather than look backward. Still, why is my sleep plagued by workplace nightmares?

A few days ago I began deleting/deactivating some social media accounts. It appears I'm not alone in performing a clean up-another friend has begun this process and I believe it makes sense.
