There's no *real* goodness in it for sure, but a lot of fear and anger that bury any chance for curiosity and empathy that could bring real growth and connection.

There's so much power over those who live in fear and so much of the white church's alignment makes it harder to unveil the truths too.

There's no motivation to disrupt a narrative of innate virtue and superiority. All the evidence to the contrary must be buried and/or denounced furiously to live with comfort.

Yeah, my sister was 7 when my dad died and I was 14. I'm very grateful for Social Security and hate that it's going to be so much harder for families going through loss like that to sort out the survivor benefits they need.
