Conceptual corvid currently fixated on organizational topology, design systems as languages, structured content as embodied doctrine, antifascism, and shitposting as a service.

My views do not represent those of my employer, no matter what they claim

Just a few pages in and already loving Jillian Hess’s “How Romantics and Victorians Organized Information” — its relevance to content architecture and editorial affordances in web and content management tools is pinging around in the back of my mind.

The modern right loves retributive vigilante violence — stories of good, decent folks fucking up evildoers that “the law” couldn’t reach.

That isn’t because they care about injustice: It’s because they love a story that lets them fantasize about morally justifiable violence.

Went to a really cool Hokusai exhibit at the local college with Catherine this weekend. It not only had a bunch of prints and stuff about his life, it had a whole room decorated as, uhhh, manga? Like. “Someone changed the shader on reality” decorated as manga.

Oh, lord. Our Maddie was the same: adopted her and her brother when they were maybe a month or two?
