the "from devops to AI" panel was brilliant. @eanakashima.bsky.social: "people miss how much of devops was about culture... the culture stuff is maybe more important than ever now."

David Williams shared how AI is a black box we need observability to understand. bsky.app/profile/hone... #o11yDaySFO
What a panel with Emily Nakashima, James Bland (AWS), & David Williams (LaunchDarkly)! The role of an SRE is evolving and hard to define. SREs connect many dots in ways LLMs can’t—showing how people and AI must work together to solve complex challenges.

And as a competitive athlete, I want to play against the best in the game, whether they're cis or trans. Please let my trans teammates play!

My heart breaks at the idea that we would deprive a generation of young trans athletes these formative experiences with their peers because of hateful, hysterical fear-mongering that has no basis in fact.

Not every team I played on had out transgender athletes, but when I have had trans teammates, they played the game with the exact same heart, determination, team spirit, and love of the game that my cisgender teammates brought.

Through sports, I also learned how to work together with people who might have come from different backgrounds or life experiences than me — and I learned to see the many things we all had in common.

From soccer to softball to rugby to rowing, the many sports teams I've been on throughout my life have been a safe haven, a second family, and a place where I developed lifelong teamwork and leadership skills.

Senator <name>,

As a lifelong competitive athlete in girl's and women's sports, I am writing to ask you to support the rights and dignity of my transgender teammates and to please VOTE NO on any bans or restrictions on transgender athletes in sports.
