And yup, today's #parkrun results are all over the place! I guess it's inevitable that large numbers of elves will turn up on the Saturday before Christmas. Well done volunteers for trying to deal with the Christmas hordes!

There are so many mean, selfish, unempathic misers in the world at the moment (many otherwise known as billionaires and politicians) - I wish we had more Christmas Ghosts to go round and open their minds and hearts.

In the 90 minutes since I posted this, I've gotten two more death notifications.
ICE has a responsibility to take care of these people, something they are clearly disregarding. This is beyond horrifying. We must ensure dignity and humanity for detained people in this country.

I wish the Brexit dinosaurs would stop this "Erasmus is for posh kids" crap. Half the young population goes to university, these days, in UK and most of EU. And most of the half that doesn't is also eligible for Erasmus+, which covers schools, further education, adult learners and in-work training.

When I was a medical student 45 years ago, I clerked in a 13 year old girl with deep jaundice and an abdominal mass. She was Hepatitis B positive. That had led to a primary liver tumour. In a 13-year-old. She was dead within the month. Avoidable with vaccination.
