I honestly believe our most powerful position in a toxic time that feeds on cynicism, apathy,& despair is to genuinely care and act for a better world.

Cynicism is our enemy. We should check it, incl. on the left. It’s not intellectually superior. It’s the virus they’re trying to infect us with. NO

Lots of new followers in the last week. Thanks for choosing to tag along and hopefully we can all spread a little joy & happiness in this little corner of the interwebs 🤙🏼 Expect a lot of mountains, forests, bikes, running and of course a sprinkling of local level politics. 🫶🏼👋🏼 #positiveimpact

Grateful to work at an amazing school, with the kindest staff & students(S). Today a S gifted me a handmade quilted book sleeve, a lovely note, and a favourite childhood book. A like-minded colleague gave me paper accordion ❤️s, knowing my love of paper accordion decorations. Plus so many S wins!

Today I found joy working on my lantern for our upcoming Grade 1/2 Lantern Festival. As a teacher librarian, I’m lucky to be able to collaborate with the classes at my school. Looking forward to our evening Lantern Walk in February. #lunarnewyear #diversity #inclusion #belonging #sd79

So grateful to live on this land.
Just headed back to Cowichan from Greater Victoria for a bike ride today. Quick stop on the Malahat Lookout to enjoy the views of Finlayson Arm with the Juan De Fuca Strait and Olympic Mountains in the distance. #vancouverisland #yyj #beautifulbc #getoutside

Batch cooking a week’s worth of lunches. Making Dr. Mindy Pelz’s #CoconutOilFudge made me happy. Subbed the cocoa for 🇨🇦made beef chocolate protein powder and halved the 🇨🇦maple syrup; worked perfectly. Enough for weeks! Highly recommend Pelz’s cookbook: Eat Like a Girl. Every recipe is gold!

I live in a beautiful place.
I thought making videos that were under 90 seconds was hard. This app wants to videos of only 60 seconds or less. I'll take the challenge, but will need to start recording shorter videos.
