crazy how you can just be sitting in a chair pushing buttons and if you can just push the right buttons in the right order then you'll own a house

Donald Trump: If you're really rich, you can pollute as much as you feel like, and I'll make sure no average person hurt by it has any recourse.

Elon Musk: I am excited to pollute, causing harm to regular people and increasing my wealth.

Working class MAGA voters: Thank you, this is what we want.
call me crazy but being a absurdly wealthy shouldn’t give you VIP access to the government

The thought of the whole nation pouring over my lifelong history of online activity to try to pinpoint my exact political ideology is horrifying enough to prevent me from ever committing a high-profile murder.

An important lesson from chatgpt is that one can get good enough at bullshitting so-as to outperform actually intelligent humans on literal intelligence tests. As a bullshitter I find this inspiring.

you guys there's pressing privacy research question can i pleeeease invite my crypto tech twitter friends? we'll just stay in our bubble talking tech stuff, no coin shilling or scam bots, promise
There's potentially ways to make blocks more private, but it's a research project that would take more time to figure out. The AT Protocol (which Bluesky is built on) is a protocol for public conversation, so almost all the data it handles right now is public. We built the straightforward solution.
