A unique color and pattern among the local feral clan. I always smile when I see golden tabbies in other colonies blocks away. They’re his progeny.

I’m a food source ally. He has multiple since the local troop has no breeding females, so he wanders and during breeding seasons, he’ll be gone for months.

I spent a few years trying. Cautious and trap savvy. And very happy being his feral self. He’s looking very good for his 6-7 years, has various food sources, understands cars and dogs and poisoners (evidently). The weather here is cat friendly. I’m an ally, not his owner for sure.

Interestingly, he’s the old adage, lover not a fighter. But he’s not tame and likely you’re spot on. He’s very cautious and so any trap gets triggered by the less cautious cats (which he sees and learns from).
