Philippines, like other Global South countries, are living in a cycle of debt and repayments. Mirroring what is happening to most Filipinos.

In Filipino, we call this "lubog sa utang" or drowning in debt. Umuutang tayo para bayaran ang utang / We incur debts to pay existing debts + interest.
