The end of Extratime really blows. In a sea of corporate talk, bro talk, and gambling ads, ETR was just a bunch of soccer dorks. Over the years the characters changed but they were almost always really genuine people who didn’t take themselves too seriously but gave great insight

Pat and Asher have done great work, except in one glaring area. Extending them before they get Micael extended (so he is not lost on a free) is putting the cart before the horse. If they lose Micael for nothing the Dynamo are just repeating the failures of the past.

With this, Onstad mentioned that the club had to “pull forward” GAM to remain competitive in ‘24.
For context, MLS allows its clubs to take a set amount of the next year’s GAM and apply it against budget charges in the current year, as I wrote last month:
