I've definitely skipped it often before (this was my 2nd Zeta watch + will be my 4th CCA watch) but I'm glad I tried it properly this time.

I know it's a contentious thing but if they ever do a set of "remakes", I'd love to see what gets modified with a ZZ reattempt.

I want to not be a downer, so I will say some of the cast kinda won me over. Elle was enjoyable throughout, I thought there were interesting moral dilemmas abound and ZZ continued to have plenty of awesome suits (love the Quin Mantha)

However, I couldn't be more excited to finally get to CCA.

Even past that 3/5s point I last tweeted abt, most of the arcs didn't strike much with me. Ple-Two's is sorta interesting, until near the end it rehashes a lot of the common Cyber-Newtype plots. I also didn't find myself very engaged w/the final battle either.

Even past the point of "it starts taking itself seriously", ZZ still doesn't feel like it manages a consistent tone that I enjoyed. Everyone felt like they had a "joke episode" and a plot episode" self that just changed whenever needed.

In particular Glemy and Mashymere feel really stark here

ZZ Gundam finished!

I... am not a fan lol. I can see why people are enamoured with parts of the show but ultimately a lot of elements did not work for me, even as it became more of a "traditional" Gundam series near the end.

anyway for my fellow devs I recommend filling out the state of the industry survey, it's imperfect but about as good as we get in trying to get a yearly pulse of the industry
