Tonight in D&D: Finally revealed a hook that's been in planning for a while.
After absorbing an ancient dark fey in the last arc with Dark One's Blessing, the warlock is compelled to activate planar portals to an unknown location, and his fiendish patron is *very* interested in examining this soul.

Tonight in D&D: the party surrounds a long-time big bad, prone and defeated.
The next 2 PCs in initiative attack non-lethally. Hanging on to 6 hp, he tries to bring a fireball down on all of them, which the wizard counterspells. It enrages the warlock, next in turn order, who finishes him off.

I think it's now possible to make a poli-sci course that equips one for modern political analysis better than most classic theory and has a syllabus sourced entirely from random internet posts.
