It's weird that the Globe has used a different font than its regular one for the headlines in its Report on Business cover story, making it look like it's "partner content" even though it's not.

This is so nonsensical. They already bought the ad time. The budget to film a different 30-second ad is minuscule compared to their overall profits - they could easily just throw in a small amount more to pay for a last-minute variation ad.

This is not, in fact, the time (TTC streetcar stop, Spadina station)

Some gorgeous orange fall colours

I like this new TTC ad campaign - takes advantage of the distinct tile patterns of the stations, encourages internal tourism (something I've written about in the past). In the spirit of those old London Underground ads.

The Transportation Tomorrow Survey 2022 finally began counting non-commute trips as well. The mode share for walking in Toronto with this new basis jumped from 14% to 24% - a quarter of all trips for any purpose (from dmg.utoronto.ca/wp-content/u...) #walkTO

The City finally installed a pedestrian crossing at the north side of Yonge and Crescent. But they also turned the east-west signals into SA2 style, meaning the light can turn green but the pedestrian signal stays red unless you press the button. For pedestrians, the City gives, and takes away.

Really loved the Lake Story procession this morning. And so nice to bump into friends there!

My father (#24) is in what I think is one of the greatest football photos of all time. They made a stamp with it!

I visited the little park at the end of Polson Street for the first time. A little hidden gem, or at least semi-precious stone.

Toronto changed its bylaws to allow street ball and hockey playing a decade ago, but these signs are still up.

Here's the plaque that gives the story of this fountain - as is so often the case in Toronto, it fell into neglect. But fortunately it was restored. Not mentioned is that it was renamed after former Progressive Conservative Attorney General Roy McMurtry (definitely on the "progressive" end)
